Meet MID Insights: A New Way to Monitor Your Merchant IDs

Fidel API has launched MID Insights, a self-service dashboard console and API endpoint designed to help product, operations, and support teams monitor merchant identifiers across Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. The tool centralizes information previously gathered through spreadsheets or custom reports, allowing users to search and filter MIDs by network, lifecycle status, merchant details, and source, while reviewing network-specific identifiers such as Visa Store IDs, Mastercard Location IDs, and American Express Service Establishment Numbers. Individual MID records provide merchant descriptors, verified address metadata, and lifecycle timelines, while a diagnostic ledger indicates whether transactions are pending, cleared, or untested. By improving visibility into merchant identity, onboarding status, and transaction activity, MID Insights is intended to support more accurate transaction matching, faster issue investigation, reduced operational workload, and more confident expansion to new merchant locations.
