From Fern customer to Fern contributor

Barry Zou recounts his experience transitioning from working at Square to contributing to Fern, emphasizing the differences between large corporations and startups, particularly in terms of speed and ownership. At Square, he worked on SDKs, moving from APIMatic to Fern due to cost and quality considerations, and later helped integrate Fern's offerings into Square's release automation. Currently, Barry is focused on enhancing the performance of Fern's SDK generators and improving the process for SDK previews, aiming to streamline API definition changes and integrate these improvements into GitHub Actions for automatic preview generation.
