Over the past year, interest in AI agents has accelerated, with significant investment and development across various sectors, though many organizations remain in the experimental phase. Epsilla envisions a progression beyond powerful models to an ecosystem called the Agentic Mesh, where AI agents collaborate intelligently and autonomously. Unlike current systems that function as enhanced tools under human direction, autonomous agents operate independently, making decisions and collaborating like digital teammates. The Agentic Mesh framework aims to create a networked environment for these agents, ensuring secure, accountable interactions and providing components such as an Interaction Manager, Agent Registry, Monitor, Trust Framework, and communication protocols. This framework addresses challenges in deploying agents at scale, offering a solution akin to service mesh for microservices, and aims to make agents integral, scalable, and secure in the software stack. Epsilla plans to open-source this framework, encouraging contributions and collaboration to refine the integration of agents into enterprise environments.
