Introducing AURI Fix for Open Source
Blog post from Endor Labs
Endor Labs has introduced AURI Fix for Open Source, a private-beta capability designed to help organizations remediate open-source vulnerabilities faster by assessing whether vulnerable dependencies are reachable and exploitable within a specific application. In addition to recommending minimum safe dependency upgrades, the tool can propose small application-code or configuration changes, targeted patches, dependency replacements, or risk acceptance when appropriate, and can open pull requests through policy-based or agentic workflows. The announcement cites growing pressure from simultaneous critical vulnerability disclosures and research across 264,643 reachable enterprise findings, which found that 82% had a potential first-party remediation option while only 10% were easily addressed by upgrades alone. AURI Fix focuses particularly on call-site input controls and configuration changes, reporting a median six-line pull request, and produces VEX reports to document why a vulnerability is no longer exploitable even when the vulnerable dependency version remains present.
