At the Empower India Conference held at the India Institute of Technology (IIT) in Delhi, ElevenLabs showcased its live voice cloning technology, capable of replicating voices in 12 Indian languages, including Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, and others, demonstrating the ease and authenticity of the process without any pre-scripted elements. This technology allows for voice clones to be created quickly, with a 30-second recording generating an instant clone and a longer recording capturing a full vocal identity, and supports translation across 73 languages. The demonstration emphasized the importance of maintaining an individual's vocal identity, especially for those at risk of losing their voice, and highlighted ElevenLabs' commitment to providing inclusive and equitable access to this technology through its Impact Program. The live demos serve to build trust by showing the technology's real-world performance, aiming to facilitate multilingual communication and make voice a primary AI interface.
