This collaboration aims to create audio versions of books that would otherwise remain unproduced, thus offering authors the opportunity to see their works transformed into audio and providing readers with more options while overcoming linguistic barriers. ElevenLabs' Studio tool, which facilitates the creation of audiobooks in as little as one hour, allows creators to customize voices and manage the flow of narration, marking a significant advancement in AI-assisted audiobook production by reducing costs and operational challenges. While HarperCollins will continue to invest in voice actor-led productions, the text-to-speech technology will serve as a complementary tool, expanding the diversity of audiobooks available in non-English markets and supporting growth in the audiobook sector.
