Eleven Realtime Translation: our live voice translation model
Blog post from ElevenLabs
ElevenLabs has launched Eleven Realtime Translation in alpha for enterprise ElevenAPI customers, offering live voice translation that allows participants to speak their own languages and hear natural, expressive translations during conversations. Built on the low-latency Eleven v4 Turbo speech model, the service supports automatic language detection and more than 90 languages while maintaining a consistent selected voice across a session. Potential applications include multilingual telecom calling, contact centers that enable agents to serve customers in more languages without interpreters, and live events with translated audio for attendees. Organizations can select from over 17,500 voices or create cloned voices, and can tune the balance between translation quality and response speed depending on use cases such as complex claims calls or rapid exchanges. Deutsche Telekom is already incorporating the technology into its Magenta AI Call Assistant.
