Bringing voice AI into the classroom with ElevenLabs
Blog post from ElevenLabs
ElevenLabs is launching initiatives to enhance education through voice AI, offering an access program for professors and introducing a voice agent based on Albert Einstein's archives. The Impact Program x Professors provides educators from institutions like Harvard and NYU free access to ElevenLabs' Pro tier, enabling them to use voice AI in teaching and research, which enhances interactivity and accessibility in education. Professors like Carolyn McGettigan and Sharad Goel apply this technology to explore synthetic speech and create interactive learning tools, respectively. Additionally, ElevenLabs has partnered with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem to recreate Einstein's voice, allowing users to engage with his scientific works through the ElevenReader app and an interactive AI experience, available in multiple languages. This initiative is part of ElevenLabs' Iconic Voices platform, which includes voices of influential figures such as Richard Feynman and Maya Angelou, aiming to make scientific and cultural content more accessible and engaging.
