As U.S. government agencies strive to implement Zero Trust architectures by the 2027 mandate, a collaborative multi-vendor approach is emphasized as essential for meeting the Department of Defense's comprehensive security controls. Elastic's open-source platform plays a crucial role in this collaborative effort, acting as a unifying data layer that integrates disparate systems by focusing on data, which is the common link across Zero Trust environments. At a DoDIIS event, Elastic collaborated with Vectra, Gigamon, and CrowdStrike to create a Zero Trust proof of concept, demonstrating an integrated cybersecurity defense utilizing each vendor's strengths and showcasing the necessity of partnerships in achieving a robust security framework. The Technology Advancement Center (TAC) facilitated simulations to test and validate the collaborative solution, underscoring the importance of public-private partnerships in deploying Zero Trust strategies effectively. Elastic's extensive ecosystem of partners and integrations offers agencies a holistic view of their environments, ensuring no security gaps remain as they transition to Zero Trust architectures.
