Elastic Cloud on AWS has introduced new optimized hardware profiles featuring expanded support for Amazon EC2 instance types, including high-performance C5, I3, and M5 virtual machines, as well as the ARM-based M6gd and C6gd variants powered by Graviton2 processors. These new profiles offer a variety of compute, memory, and disk configurations to better address diverse use cases, providing significant improvements in cost and performance. Users have the flexibility to choose between default settings or customized profiles to match their specific workloads, such as selecting configurations with more disk space for data retention or search capabilities. Deployments can be initiated or migrated to these new VM types via the Elastic Cloud console, with detailed guidance available in the product documentation. Additionally, a 7-day free trial is offered through the AWS Marketplace for new users to easily deploy Elastic solutions.
