Introducing cross-project search for Elastic Cloud Serverless
Blog post from Elastic
Elastic Cloud Serverless has introduced a technical preview of cross-project search (CPS), enabling organizations to query multiple distributed projects seamlessly without moving data or incurring egress fees. This feature allows for global visibility while maintaining project isolation, offering a "single-pane-of-glass" experience by linking projects through a simple setup in the cloud console. Administrators can control access through existing roles, ensuring secure searches across linked projects. CPS supports broad searches by default but allows for precision via scope controls and can be integrated into automated workflows using enhanced Elastic Cloud API Keys. Initially available in a tech preview, CPS will be priced based on usage upon general availability, with charges applied for data retained and transferred between projects.
