Improving performance and optimizing cost on Elastic Cloud has never been easier
Blog post from Elastic
Elastic Cloud has introduced a new hardware profile migration capability, allowing users to switch between different hardware profiles on their existing deployments to optimize for better price-performance. This feature supports efficient hardware from major cloud providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure, and simplifies the migration process by providing an easy-to-use interface for selecting and comparing hardware specifications. Users can upgrade to newer hardware profiles within the same lineage, such as moving from AWS io-optimized to storage-optimized versions, or from GCP compute-optimized to CPU-optimized versions, to enhance performance and reduce costs. Elastic plans to continue adding new hardware profiles, encouraging users to start a free trial or make purchases through major cloud marketplaces, while noting that the release of future features remains at the company's discretion.
