Google Axion-powered Arm hardware profiles now available on Elastic Cloud

Elastic has introduced a new CPU-optimized Arm hardware profile for Elastic Cloud Hosted, powered by Google's custom-designed Axion processors, offering up to 25% better price-performance for workloads such as search, observability, and security. This enhancement is particularly beneficial for CPU-bound, indexing-heavy, and query-intensive workloads, delivering improved compute efficiency, faster data processing, and cost-effective scaling without requiring changes to existing operations. The new hardware profile is available in select Google Cloud regions, and users can create new deployments or migrate existing ones through the Elastic Cloud console by selecting the CPU-optimized (Arm) option. Elastic emphasizes that while these features are currently available, any future updates or features remain at their discretion regarding release and timing.
