Microsoft Azure has introduced new Virtual Machines (VMs) powered by the Ampere Altra Arm-based processor, designed for efficiently running horizontally scalable workloads like web servers and databases. Elastic Observability offers a comprehensive monitoring solution for these new VMs, allowing users to collect and analyze logs, metrics, and traces from Azure resources and applications. By deploying the Elastic Agent, users can track resource usage, compare costs between Arm and x86 instances, and monitor application performance. The integration of Elastic Observability with Azure provides out-of-the-box dashboards, automatic application performance monitoring (APM) across various technologies, and advanced AIOps capabilities for anomaly detection and error tracking. This unified approach enhances visibility and operational efficiency by centralizing observability data, ultimately aiding in reducing the mean time to resolution for issues. Elastic Observability is available on the Azure Marketplace, facilitating easy deployment across multiple Azure regions, including recent expansions in Brazil, Canada, India, and South Africa.
