Elastic Cloud Serverless pricing and packaging

Elastic Cloud has introduced a new pricing and packaging model for its Serverless offerings, focusing on solution-specific pricing for Security, Observability, and Elasticsearch to enhance flexibility and simplicity. This approach aligns pricing with domain-specific metrics like data ingested and retained for Security and Observability, and Virtual Compute Units for Elasticsearch, making forecasting easier. The model supports a pay-as-you-go system with options for discounted pre-purchase of Elastic Consumption Units, applicable across both Cloud Hosted and Serverless offerings. Users can select from four support tiers for their entire Elastic Cloud organization, and product features can be tailored on a per-project basis within serverless deployments. This strategy maintains Elastic's customer-friendly consumption models while offering a simplified and scalable way to use Elastic's solutions.
