Elastic and Tencent Cloud deepen strategic partnership to power AI-era search foundation
Blog post from Elastic
Elastic and Tencent Cloud expanded their strategic partnership in August 2026 to advance AI search, enterprise data access, and agentic applications, launching Tencent Cloud Elasticsearch Service Enterprise Edition with Elastic’s enterprise search and AI capabilities. The service combines keyword and semantic retrieval, connects search results directly to large language models and agents, and supports searchable historical data so AI systems can use grounded enterprise context without requiring changes to existing data architectures. Tencent Cloud reports selected performance improvements of up to five times, 60% lower hybrid-search latency, and over 50% lower memory use, while offering integrations with Tencent Hunyuan models and TCRay inference. Examples include Tencent ima’s knowledge-base retrieval system and NIO’s security intelligence platform, which processes hundreds of billions of records and reduced one attack investigation from most of a day to two minutes. The partnership builds on seven years of collaboration, with Tencent Cloud ES operating 20,000 clusters and 100,000 nodes for large-scale events, although Elastic notes that future feature availability remains at its discretion.
