Kibana 8.8 introduces several new features aimed at enhancing user customization, machine learning integration, and collaboration capabilities. Users can now set dark mode individually and customize branding elements like logos and browser icons, while advanced settings provide more flexibility without relying on complex CSS. Machine learning is more accessible with features like log pattern categorization directly in Discover, and users can filter logs for specific patterns easily. Alert management is improved with the ability to suppress notifications during maintenance windows, reducing unnecessary alerts. Collaboration on cases is enhanced with new features for managing artifacts and activities, including the ability to attach files to cases. The release also includes various enhancements in machine learning job management and introduces new Elasticsearch features like Elastic Learned Sparse EncodeR for better semantic search.
