Modern enterprises increasingly rely on various SaaS applications for business operations, posing challenges in security and audit log management due to differing log schemas and the complexity of building integrations. To address this, AWS introduced AWS AppFabric, a service that connects SaaS applications for improved security and productivity, automatically normalizing audit logs into the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF). This normalization allows for standardized querying and monitoring across applications. Dynatrace has integrated with AWS AppFabric, enabling customers to leverage its Grail data lakehouse for enhanced security analytics and log management. The integration allows easy ingestion and enrichment of logs, facilitating in-depth analysis using Dynatrace's Query Language (DQL) and Notebooks for custom analytics. Users can also set up alerts for suspicious activities, such as unauthorized access, with Dynatrace's log management capabilities. AWS AppFabric offers a 30-day free tier to help organizations explore its functionalities, and the service is available in specific AWS regions, requiring compatible S3 bucket setups for log delivery.
