Dynatrace Cloud Automation has introduced fine-grained access control through Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), allowing organizations to define user roles and permissions based on their specific needs within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This update builds on the existing single sign-on (SSO) capabilities, enabling detailed management of user permissions by roles such as Developer, Product Engineer, and Site Reliability Engineer, among others. The RBAC system allows for policy, group, and user management, providing administrators with the ability to control which team members have access to specific tools and functions within the Cloud Automation environment. The recent update includes default policy templates for various permission levels, facilitating the setup of customized access policies. This enhancement aims to streamline the management of permissions and improve compliance and operational efficiency in DevOps and cloud automation workflows.
