Enhanced event analytics now available for all hosts, processes, and services

Dynatrace has introduced enhancements to its Events section with the release of OneAgent v1.141, allowing for improved drill-down and filtering capabilities in event analytics. Users can now leverage the Dynatrace API to push custom events into their environment, taking advantage of advanced analytics features to assess the Events feed across their monitored components. This functionality is built upon Dynatrace's comprehensive monitoring platform that maps an application's entire topology, automatically updated in real-time by OneAgent. The platform detects over 80 built-in system event types and supports custom event reporting via plugins or the API. Enhanced event analytics present a convenient chart for visualizing event statistics over selected time frames, enabling users to focus on specific periods of high activity and filter events by type. Integration with third-party systems allows Dynatrace AI to incorporate custom events, such as those generated by CI and build toolchains, offering a seamless experience in reporting deployment meta-information. With the forthcoming release of an events REST endpoint, these improvements mark a significant step towards integrating external tools within the Dynatrace platform.
