Dynatrace has achieved the Federal Information Processing Standard Publication 140-2 (FIPS 140-2) certification from the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), validating the cryptography within its Software Intelligence Platform for meeting stringent data security standards essential for government agencies. This certification underscores Dynatrace's role in aiding U.S. and international government entities to fulfill security mandates and expedite digital transformation initiatives securely. The FIPS 140-2 standard is a procurement requirement for U.S. government solutions using cryptography and is globally recognized as a benchmark for cryptographic security. This accomplishment adds to Dynatrace’s portfolio of federal achievements, which include its FedRAMP Moderate impact level authorization and AWS Government Competency status, as well as collaborations with entities like the State of Minnesota and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Public Sector CTO Willie Hicks expressed pride in the certification and commitment to maintaining high data privacy and security standards, with plans to pursue FIPS 140-3 certification in the future.
