Directus has introduced a highly anticipated Visual Editing feature that allows content teams to edit website content directly within the site, eliminating the need to switch between form interfaces and preview modes. This feature enables users to make changes in context by clicking on connected elements and modifying them instantly, while also providing immediate feedback as changes are reflected in real-time. The Visual Editor module offers flexibility with drawer, modal, or popover interfaces, and facilitates easy navigation across multiple pages without returning to collection interfaces. Designed with both developers and content teams in mind, the implementation of Visual Editing requires setting up a Frontend Library and configuring the Studio Module within Directus. Additional features include custom styling options, client-side navigation for single-page applications, and performance enhancements for a responsive editing experience, all aimed at improving content management workflows.
