Directus 10.7 introduces Content Versioning, enabling users to prepare draft updates and collaborate without risking accidental overwrites. Previously, content collaboration often occurred outside the Data Studio, but this update integrates collaboration features directly into the Director Editor. Users can create versions for any item, each with its own revision history, and decide when to promote a version as the main one for publishing. The feature, accessible via Directus Editor and API, introduces new events such as `item.promote`, enhancing the platform's collaborative capabilities. Developed with community feedback during a two-month preview, Content Versioning aims to improve the content management experience by fostering seamless teamwork. Directus 10.7 is now available on npm and Docker Hub, with ongoing support through their Discord community.
