Performance Upgrades to Spaces Object Storage and Volumes Block Storage

DigitalOcean has announced a significant increase in performance for its Volumes Block Storage and Spaces Object Storage services. The company's Volumes service, which provides high-performance block storage, now supports up to 10,000 Input/Output Operations per Second (IOPS) and 450 MBps throughput, with the ability to burst to 15,000 IOPS and 525 MBps in burst mode. In contrast, Spaces Object Storage has seen its Requests Per Second (RPS) metric doubled, allowing for improved performance in serving static assets, storing user-generated content, and hosting applications that require low latency and high throughput. These updates aim to address the growing storage needs of businesses and provide a competitive edge for developers who rely on DigitalOcean's platform.
