Mark Imbriaco

Mark Imbriaco, DigitalOcean's VP of TechOps, left his previous role at GitHub to join the company after feeling constrained by its non-hierarchical structure. He has a vast experience in operations and is passionate about empowering developers, which he believes will be contagious energy for DigitalOcean's engineering team. Mark has had various roles in his career, including founding his own startup, working at AOL, and managing infrastructure for 37signals and Heroku. Despite making mistakes, such as joining LivingSocial where he wasn't passionate about the product, Mark is now focused on helping other people succeed and grow teams. He believes that leaving a big company to take a second chance on a startup can be risky but following your heart is one of his biggest pieces of advice for young developers.
