Improved Graphs: Powered by the Open Source DO Agent

The DigitalOcean team has launched a new feature called `do-agent` which is an open-source monitoring application that helps users get a better picture of the health of their Droplets by adding new graphs to the Droplet graphs page and making existing graphs more precise. The agent collects system performance/state metrics, including CPU metrics and Linux kernel versions, from the `/proc` pseudo filesystem, which presents system information as files on the filesystem. The collected metrics are transmitted to the monitoring API endpoints and made available to users via the Droplet graphs page. This new feature opens up possibilities for future tools that can provide insight into Droplet performance, including the ability to collectively monitor groups of Droplets. The `do-agent` is also open source, and its plugin architecture allows users to create custom plugins to observe more than just Droplet metrics.
