UAE PASS is the UAE’s national digital identity and signature platform, enabling citizens, residents, and visitors to access government and private services through an OAuth 2.0 sign-in flow that confirms authentication in its mobile app. Private companies can integrate after submitting a UAE trade licence, use-case documentation, workflow diagrams, and mockups for approval, followed by staging tests and go-live assessment; the published FAQ states that integration carries no charge, although no current fee schedule or implementation timeline is available. The platform reported more than 12 million registered users in July 2026 and supports over 15,000 services, while verified citizen and resident accounts at SOP2 or SOP3 can provide an Emirates ID number, names, nationality, gender, verified contact details, and a unique user ID. Published attributes did not include date of birth, address, or portrait as of October 2026, and visitor profiles do not return Emirates ID numbers, making document-based verification an important fallback for age checks, KYC, and users without eligible accounts. The Central Bank of the UAE identifies UAE PASS as an accepted method for licensed financial institutions to verify Emirates IDs, but requires institutions to assess assurance levels, suitability for their risks, and compliance with UAE personal-data residency restrictions.
