Summary

Singpass Myinfo enables Singapore-registered businesses with a UEN and Corppass to authenticate eligible users through Singapore’s national digital identity system and, with per-transaction consent, retrieve government-sourced data to prefill forms. Singpass Login returns a signed identity token, while Myinfo can provide approved scopes such as NRIC or FIN, name, date of birth, nationality, contact details, address, and, under Myinfo Plus, CPF, tax, and property information. As of 30 June 2026, Singpass reported 5.5 million users and more than 41 million monthly transactions, while Myinfo was available through more than 1,800 digital services. Pricing is transaction-based, with monthly free allowances for the first 50,000 Login and 5,000 Myinfo Standard transactions per UEN, but no free tier for Myinfo Plus. Businesses must justify requested data, obtain approval for their user journey, support an alternative or manual verification route, and prepare for a required FAPI 2.0 migration by 31 December 2026. Singpass is available to citizens, permanent residents, and FIN holders aged 15 or older, leaving younger users, non-residents without FINs, and those who decline Singpass to use other methods such as document, NFC chip, liveness, and face-matching checks. For regulated financial services, MAS rules require reliable and independent identity verification but do not explicitly determine whether Myinfo alone satisfies those requirements, leaving institutions responsible for their own documented assessments.
