The EU Digital Identity Wallet, established under eIDAS 2.0, is intended to let EU citizens securely manage and share verified identities and credentials across member states, while requiring participating organizations to meet demanding standards for privacy, security, interoperability, consent, and credential validation. The text argues that manual compliance practices may be inadequate for these evolving requirements and presents Compliance-as-Code as an approach that translates regulatory policies such as GDPR, anti-money-laundering directives, and eIDAS rules into machine-readable, automated workflows. This model can apply consistent identity, age, fraud-prevention, and screening checks, create auditable records, support version-controlled policy updates, and reduce operational effort while adapting to regulatory changes. It presents Didit’s modular identity-verification platform, including document checks, liveness detection, face matching, age estimation, AML monitoring, APIs, and workflow tools, as a means for organizations to implement such automated EUDIW compliance processes.
