Detectify, a SaaS-based web application and domain security startup, has launched a new connector between AWS Route 53 and its platform, enhancing its ability to monitor DNS records for security vulnerabilities. By integrating AWS Route 53, Detectify can automatically pull and sync DNS data, ensuring that monitoring dashboards remain current. This feature is particularly beneficial in a rapidly expanding cloud environment where digital assets proliferate, making comprehensive security oversight challenging. The connector aids in preventing issues such as Hostile Subdomain Takeovers, a type of attack identified by Detectify's Security Advisor, by allowing users to monitor both active and forgotten subdomains. Customers can activate this feature through the Asset Inventory tab by providing AWS API keys, enabling continuous updates and enhanced visibility of web assets for improved security management.
