This burgeoning field is supported by protocols such as the Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP), Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), and Agent Payments Protocol (AP2), each addressing unique aspects of the commerce process, from orchestration to authorization. ACP, backed by Stripe and OpenAI, utilizes Shared Payment Tokens to facilitate transactions while maintaining user privacy.
