Introducing New Audio Intelligence Models for Sentiment, Intent, and Topic Detection
Blog post from Deepgram
Deepgram has expanded its Voice AI platform with Audio Intelligence models for sentiment analysis, intent recognition, and topic detection, complementing its existing speech-to-text and conversation summarization capabilities. Built as task-specific language models trained on more than 60,000 domain-specific conversations, the models are designed to provide faster, lower-cost, and specialized alternatives to large general-purpose language models for real-time conversational analysis. Available through Deepgram’s existing `/listen` API, the features return transcript-linked insights such as sentiment shifts, intent labels, topic segments, confidence scores, summaries, and recommended next steps. The company positions these capabilities for contact centers, sales platforms, and other organizations seeking to analyze large volumes of voice interactions, improve agent coaching, identify customer issues, personalize service, and streamline follow-up workflows.
