DBOS introduces Conductor, a management interface designed to enhance the self-hosting capabilities of DBOS applications at scale, by providing automated workflow recovery, observability, and management features. Conductor operates on any infrastructure or cloud, ensuring workflow durability in distributed environments by detecting and recovering interrupted workflows seamlessly, while maintaining security and data privacy as it does not access application databases. It offers real-time workflow monitoring and management via a dashboard, enabling users to handle any workflow errors manually when necessary. Unlike other platforms, DBOS's pricing is based on the number of application processes managed rather than the number of workflow steps executed. Conductor is now in developer preview, with users encouraged to register their applications and connect them via an API key for testing and feedback.
