Daytona, a dev environment orchestration and management platform, has introduced a new feature called SSH Access, which simplifies connecting directly to sandboxes using secure, token-based authentication. This feature enables developers to access sandboxes from various tools such as local machines, VSCode, Cursor, Windsurf, JetBrains IDEs, or their own terminal without additional setup. The SSH Access provides low-latency terminal access, making remote environments feel like working on a local machine, and enhances security through time-limited tokens that expire automatically after 60 minutes and can be revoked anytime. This innovation offers developers greater flexibility and speed, allowing seamless switching between browser-based access and local IDEs while keeping security a priority. The feature is readily available for all Daytona sandboxes, aiming to improve the overall developer experience by making sandboxes more accessible and secure.
