Datadog provides turn-key integrations with over 850 technologies, including Azure SQL Database, enabling users to track performance trends across their entire infrastructure. To monitor an Azure SQL database alongside other technologies, users can collect telemetry data via Datadog's Azure integration, visualize key performance metrics, analyze and alert on database logs, use audit logs to surface potential threats, and create custom threat detection rules. The integration collects metrics from Azure Monitor and enables the generation of additional metrics that provide visibility into resource limits and quotas, geo-replication links, and more. Users can integrate Datadog with their Azure account using the Azure CLI or Azure Portal, creating a new app registration to start collecting data. Once integrated, users can visualize and alert on key database performance metrics, export diagnostic and audit logs from their Azure SQL databases to Datadog, and use Log Analytics to surface performance issues and create custom alerts. Additionally, Datadog provides full visibility into the health and performance of Azure SQL databases through an out-of-the-box integration dashboard and allows users to create custom dashboards to track database performance alongside other Azure services and technologies.
