The founders, who previously developed Instana, recognize the untapped potential of telemetry and seek to overcome the challenges posed by the need for specialized knowledge in analyzing logs, metrics, and traces. By focusing on six principles—ease of insight, use, integration, installation, customization, and cost control—Dash0 aims to make observability accessible and user-friendly, leveraging open-source tools and standards. Their new tool, OTelBin, is a visual configuration aid for OpenTelemetry collector setups, marking the beginning of their journey to enhance cloud-native observability.
