Add a splash screen to live streams and cloud recordings with Daily’s VCS baseline composition

The Video Component System (VCS) is a new tool in Daily that allows developers to customize video layouts for live streams and recorded content. The baseline composition is an easy-to-use option that provides default configurations, while the VCS SDK offers more customization options with more coding required. The baseline composition can be used to create splash screens at the start of a live stream or recording, as well as general title slates that can be shown anytime during the stream. Images can also be passed as background assets for these title slates. The VCS Simulator allows developers to quickly test and customize composition parameters, including overlay text styles, image overlays, toast components, and more. With the VCS, developers can create highly customized interactive live streams or recorded content that matches their brand's unique style.
