New for Cypress Cloud: Run duration analytics, recommendations, and configurable Auto Cancellation
Blog post from Cypress
Cypress Cloud has introduced an update featuring new test run analytics and actionable recommendations aimed at enhancing test suite performance in CI environments. A key component is the Run Overview page's trends visualization, which displays current and historical test run durations, enabling users to hover over each run to examine details such as status, run duration, detected flakes, and Smart Orchestration features. The update also includes an actionable summary that evaluates the impact of Smart Orchestration features like Spec Prioritization, Auto Cancellation, and Parallelization on test durations and CI resource usage, with estimated savings based on historical data. Notably, Auto Cancellation, a feature for Business and Enterprise plans, has been made configurable, allowing users to set the number of test failures needed to trigger the cancellation of a test run, thereby conserving CI resources and expediting the debugging process. Cypress Cloud offers a user-friendly interface that provides comprehensive insights into test runs, promoting faster testing and debugging, and is available for free to new users.
