Today, we’re happy to present the newest addition to the plethora of data tools that work with Cube, a semantic layer for building data apps. Delphi provides a way to interact with Cube in natural language and delivers insights straight to business users in Slack, powered by OpenAI’s latest large language model technology. The goal of Delphi is to solve the workflow from question to answer with data, addressing the limitations of current self-serve BI tools that often rely on ad hoc requests. By working with semantic layers curated by data experts, Delphi aims to provide safe and accurate answers, synthesizing information already baked into the layer. This approach differs from other natural language interface solutions that directly connect LLMs to databases, introducing a probabilistic element into the meaning of data.
