Intermex, a leading money transfer service, significantly improved its cybersecurity posture by adopting the AI-native CrowdStrike Falcon® platform, particularly focusing on reducing critical vulnerabilities. Under the leadership of CISO Daniel Hereford, the company transitioned from a legacy vulnerability management system to CrowdStrike Falcon® Exposure Management, which utilizes AI to provide comprehensive and proactive risk management. This shift enabled Intermex to achieve a dramatic reduction in critical vulnerabilities, including a 98% decrease in their DMZ, by prioritizing threats using CrowdStrike’s ExPRT.AI scheme. The change also led to enhanced collaboration across security, IT, and executive teams, allowing for more effective vulnerability management and emergency response to zero-day threats. Intermex further consolidated its cybersecurity tools by leveraging additional modules of the Falcon platform, thereby reducing complexity and enhancing overall security outcomes for their cloud and identity environments.
