With the new feature, external LDAP groups can be mapped to Couchbase groups, thereby streamlining the assignment of roles and privileges. The blog provides a practical example using an online LDAP test server, illustrating how different LDAP groups like scientists, mathematicians, and chemists can be mapped to corresponding Couchbase groups such as Executives, Managers, and Employees, each with specific privileges.
