As March marks Women's History Month and International Women's Day, this year's theme is Inspire Inclusion. The importance of inspiring others to understand and value women's inclusions cannot be overstated, as it leads to a better world where women feel a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment. When women support each other in their careers, the possibilities become endless. The article features interviews with four women from different backgrounds at Couchbase: Margaret Chow, Chief Legal Officer; Stephanie Rogers, Head of Developer Relations; Parmeet Kaur, VP of Support; and Hannah Laurel, a marketing professional who has worked her way up to leadership roles through determination and strategic alliances with male colleagues. These stories illustrate the challenges faced by women in male-dominated industries and highlight the importance of creating inclusive workplaces where men can be allies in promoting gender equality and inclusion. The common thread among these women is their emphasis on embracing curiosity, asking questions, and advocating for themselves and others to overcome biases and achieve success. By recognizing the value of diverse perspectives and experiences, companies can foster innovation and creativity, leading to better ideas and solutions.
