At Couchbase, they partnered with freeCodeCamp's curriculum to support emerging web developers through a free online bootcamp. The Bad Website Club offers remote web development bootcamps that have served over 40,000 unique learners globally since its founding in 2020. Learners received feedback that they wanted more real-world experience and understanding of how their skills apply to industry use. Couchbase designed partner sessions to help learners rebuild projects using real world tools and deploy them with modern services. The team learned alongside the students, gaining insights into pain points and priorities of early career developers. This experience will inform Couchbase's product and documentation to support developers of all levels and backgrounds in leveraging Couchbase for web development.
