Capella’s New Developer Experience Is Here

Couchbase Capella has introduced a new developer-focused experience, enhancing its user interface to make it more accessible and efficient for developers and new users. The improvements include a Start page that facilitates quick setup and exploration of preloaded data using Capella's data tools, such as the Document Viewer and Query Workbench, which support SQL++ for querying JSON data. Capella remains a flexible, fast, and affordable multi-model database, providing key features like multi-document ACID transactions, high-performance caching, and an in-memory architecture for rapid data access. Additionally, it offers built-in capabilities for full-text search, eventing, and analytics without needing extra technologies. Capella's App Services enhance mobile app development by enabling offline-first applications with efficient data synchronization. As a Database-as-a-Service, Capella automates various operational tasks, offering elastic scaling to align with application needs while maintaining low operational costs.
