It's just delivered: the CDN behind Contentful
Blog post from Contentful
Most highload apps and websites need a content delivery network to ensure fast and reliable content delivery. A content delivery network is a number of servers distributed across the planet, routing incoming requests to the closest server for maximum speed. Contentful, being a content platform, comes with a properly set up Contentful CDN, requiring no technical maintenance or setup efforts from the user's side. When a CDN is in place, caching greatly speeds up content delivery, and Contentful uses two CDNs: one for JSON documents and another for media assets and binary files. The chosen CDNs are Fastly and CloudFront, which provide strong geographical presence, rapid response times, and great location coverage. This setup ensures rapid and reliable content delivery with zero work required from the user's side.
