Opik, Comet's open-source LLM evaluation platform, has introduced significant updates that enhance the development, testing, and evaluation of AI agents. The new Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server simplifies management of prompts, traces, and projects across LLM stacks by offering a unified interface and supports integration with IDEs like Cursor. Additionally, Opik now integrates with Google's Agent Development Kit (ADK) for building AI agents using Gemini models and Google AI tools, providing full trace visibility. A new integration with OpenAI’s Agents SDK allows users to connect and analyze agent execution flows, supporting all OpenAI models and incorporating memory and knowledge capabilities. The engineering team behind Opik prioritized open-source accessibility and scalability, sharing insights into their architectural decisions. Developers are also encouraged to engage with the community through upcoming events like the 2025 AWS Summit in London and the AI Tinkerers Meetup in Las Vegas.
