This includes numerous features for monitoring, evaluating, and optimizing such applications. A recent development is the public beta launch of the Guardrails project, aimed at fostering safer and more robust LLM applications by preventing problematic behavior, such as inappropriate content generation and data leaks. The Guardrails system offers tools like Topic Moderation and PII Filtering, which use fine-tuned models to ensure content remains within specified boundaries and sensitive information is redacted. This public beta, featuring a REST API, supports both Opik's backend and third-party guardrails libraries, providing centralized observability and analysis. The initiative is intended to be dynamic and open to feedback, with future explorations in areas like jailbreak detection and toxicity scoring.
