This feature allows teams to collaborate in the same Coder workspace with enterprise-grade controls, enabling secure access and auditing capabilities. Service Accounts, part of the Premium plan, allow for workspaces to be owned by a persistent, non-human identity, enhancing security by preventing exposure of personal credentials. Shared Workspaces facilitate various use cases, including on-call troubleshooting, QA environments, and data training boxes, by allowing multiple users to access and share the same workspace without personal credentials being exposed. Built on existing Coder features, Shared Workspaces integrate with templates, RBAC, and audit logs to provide customizable, governed environments for human and AI collaboration, ensuring seamless integration with existing platform controls.
