Using Helm and Terraform for Codefresh Gitops Installations

Codefresh has introduced a new installation method for its delivery platform powered by Argo, following feedback from users, which focuses on leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform. Recognizing the widespread use of IaC tools in enterprises, Codefresh has released a Helm chart that facilitates the installation of the Codefresh runtime and the integration of external clusters, which can be seamlessly incorporated into existing IaC platforms. This new method replaces the initial installation process using the Codefresh CLI, which is being deprecated, although existing runtimes will remain functional. Users are encouraged to migrate to the new Helm chart-based installation for upgrades, while new customers can immediately utilize this streamlined approach. Additionally, a Helm chart for the Codefresh runner is now available, enabling users to run CI pipelines in their Kubernetes clusters, thereby enhancing scalability and control over build infrastructure.
