Syncing our Jira Tickets to our Designs

At Codefresh, managing design tasks involves using Jira for organizing R&D and design-related tasks and Figma for visual design work, with an emphasis on integrating the two platforms to avoid confusion. To streamline this process, each Jira ticket is paired with detailed user stories and often linked to Figma frames or includes screenshots. The challenge arises when multiple versions of designs or related user stories exist, leading to potential confusion on the Figma side. To address this, helper components have been developed to embed Jira references directly into Figma, clarifying the connection between design elements and specific Jira tasks. These components help delineate completed, ongoing, and future tasks, thereby reducing ambiguity for developers. Furthermore, there is a plan to develop a plugin for automatic synchronization between Jira and Figma to further enhance collaboration and task management efficiency.
